Wild Hawk Fundraisers

Wild Hawk Coffee is involved in many worthwhile fundraisers. A portion of the purchase price of the coffee ordered by those customers associated with certain organizations goes back to those organizations. This donation is not simply a one time payment but with every purchase made where the unique coupon code provided by Wild Hawk Coffee is applied. The following is a list of the organizations we are assisting with their financial needs:

East African Village Outreach began as a result of a visit to the birth village of Seifu Ibssa, an Ethiopian American, his wife Mulu and two friends, Jim and Lana Reese, in February 2005.

Ibssa, 47, is more than the home town boy made good. He has become his village’s benefactor. He has initiated a number of humanitarian efforts to lift his native village and the surrounding community out of poverty and suffering. Before construction of the well last October by EAVO, villagers such as this young boy gathered their water from this mud hole, which they shared with livestock and hyenas.

Wild Hawk Coffee is trying to assist EAVO in raising enough funds to build a High School in this village. Currently the children need to travel over 60 miles to attend High School. This requires living for months at a time away from home in accommodations with two or three other children in an area smaller than many American walk in closets. We will assist in raising about $25,000 and the villagers have committed to raise the remaining $75,000. They have been quoted saying “if we have two oxen then one will be sold and if we only have one oxen then we will go without new clothes so we can contribute to the school”. With spirit and commitment like that, how can anyone say no.
